Marjorie Greene, 76, started her first full-time job less than a month ago. As a piano teacher and mother of four grown-up children, Marjorie had plenty to keep her busy in the past. At one point, Marjorie had a peak of 56 students in the mid-1990's, but interest in lessons has fallen off in the recently.
Hermann School District's music program attendance was increasing, however, and increased its budget. Marjorie was hired as an accompanist for the middle and high school campus. Always lively and active, Marjorie took the responsibility with pleasure. "It's fun, it's rewarding. I love it," Greene said.
At home, Marjorie lives with her husband of 57 years, Jack, a WWII vet and retired businessman. As for his wife’s new employment, Jack is very supportive. "It keeps her young," he said.
