"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. " (Proverbs 22:6)

The concept of the one-room schoolhouse thrives in the small town of Louisiana, Missouri. Twenty-one students in grades K-12 share the learning space as well as a structured and disciplined Christian education at Faith Baptist School. Here there are no divisions between ages and grades. Their parents drive them from as far as 20 miles away to attend the school, which is the only one of its kind in the area. The Accelerated Christian Education (A.C. E.) curriculum allows students to work on their own, but they must master each concept before advancing to the next lesson. Teachers are present in the room only to guide the students and answer questions. The teaching methods may seem to set the group apart from a conventional school environment, but in some ways, it brings them together as a whole.
