• VIEW STORY:George & Lucille: Never too old for love" •

"George would never get married again and neither would I. That would just be crazy," says ninety-three-year-old Lucille Creamer. For her and ninety-year-old George Collier, their relationship transcends the traditional concepts of love. Each have raised their own families, watching their children and grandchildren grow up over the years. George and Lucille first met over 40 years ago over a game of peanuckle that they played together with their spouses. It was only 10 years ago, after losing their spouses, that their friendship grew into companionship. Today, they spend their days talking to each other on the phone, going on dinner dates, and driving down to the riverfront "to see if the river's still running," as George says. They look forward to these little events, finding that they are still in their golden years. That's the crazy thing about love.
