David Rees Associate Professor, Missouri School of Journalism

 David Rees is the photojournalism sequence head and has taught at Missouri since 1987. He has an undergraduate degree in English from his native Nebraska and an M.A. in journalism from Missouri. He worked for 10 years at the Columbia Daily Tribune as photographer, picture editor and designer prior to joining the MU faculty. He is director of the College Photographer of the Year Competition and maintains interest in grassroots photojournalism, and is active as a freelance photographer. He also has a strong interest in publishing on the WWW and in doing multimedia projects.
