Put the coffee on. Grab a glass for iced tea. Bend down for a couple of mugs. Stop the coffee before it pours over the rim. Don’t forget the glass of ice water. More coffee is needed on table D4. Bring the fresh pot. Once Laura Hill is done waiting tables at the VFW, she hustles off to pick up her youngest child, Cody, 5, at daycare then drop him off with her 15 year-old daughter Breanne so Laura can go to her second job making sandwiches at the truck stop. At night they join her two sons, Travis, 17, and Cody, 13, back at home. Laura raises her four kids on her own and is STILL the hardest working mom in town.
Laura Hill waitresses at the VFW (Veteran of Foreign Wars) Traditional Family Restaurant, starts her day at 5am to get ready for the breakfast rush. She can carry as many as seven jugs of ice in one trip to the front.
