About a year ago, Dan and Joanne Nelson settled on 15 acres of land with their five sons just outside of Moberly, Missouri with the hopes of creating a sustainable family farm of naturally grown produce. Randolph County is rich with pesticide-oriented corporate farms, so the Nelson's choice bucks that agricultural trend. Both Dan, a chef, and Joanne, a nurse, must work away from the farm to fund their dream. Between work and school, they care for their animals and prepare their land for the oncoming winter season. These responsibilities keep the entire family busy from dawn to dusk.
