  • It is 10 pm and Sam Morrow is still talking to Jacob Morical. and Sam’s mother Charity Morrow is trying to get them to sleep. Sam and Jacob are finally in bed after a long day of school, video games, playing in the dried out creek, and general roughhousing. She has been at school all day has to wake up at five in the morning for her job as a school bus driver. Sam Morrow is having more trouble than usual concentrating in class this week because of his busy social schedule. Sam has ADHD, which normally makes it difficult to stay still in class. Having a friend sleep is too exciting to go to sleep enough to focus the next day.
