Intrepid Rangefinder reporter Sara Fajardo comprises the second half of a whole Peruvian (David Barreda would be that other half) in the photojournalism sequence at the University of Missouri. She’ll be spending the spring in the Andean city of Ayacucho, Peru working on her photographic project on the impact of water distribution on health, ritual, and culture. Previously a first-grade teacher in Oakland, Ca. Sara plans on using her camera to report on the world for both children and adults. Her first photo book for children, “A Child’s Day in a Peruvian City," was published by Marshall-Cavendish in October 2002.
