Hello,This is Bob! The greeting Dr.Bob Barnett of the Callaway County Veterinary Clinic answers from his constantly ringing car phone as he travels the rural country roads moving from farm to farm treating horses and cattle for a variety of aliments.Barnett who owns the clinic with his wife Kitty has been in practice in Fulton for 31 years.Barnett who seems to have a sixth sense when diagnosing and treating animals also knows the dangers associated with dealing with large animals.Recently Barnett who was treating a horse with cushing disease suddenly lurched up pulling a 2 by 4 off the barn striking Barnett on the top of the head.”I couldn’t see nothing ,blood was running down my face”Barnett says with a wry grin.Barnett has two children Travis age 10 and Victoria age 9 often works ten hours a day doing procedures from castrations to vaccinations.Kitty works in the small animal clinic treating dogs and cats and also performs majors surgeries with Bob. Barnett who is well known in Fulton as a caring and jovial person. also plays as hard as he works often seen at the Post Office Bar and Grille where he often be seen dancing and talking to many people he knows in small town Fulton before starting another busy day healinbg the animals of Callaway County.
