Bill Luster is a senior photographer and associate photo-editor for The Courier-Journal in Louisville, KY where he has worked since 1969. Luster has shared in two Pulitzer Prizes; one for feature photography in 1976 and the other for local reporting in 1988. He was runner up for Newspaper Photographer of the Year in 1982 and won the Clarion Award for Environmental Reporting in 1984. Luster was also a president of the NPPA, chair of the NPPA Flying Short Course, and administrator of the NPPA-Nikon Documentary Sabbatical grant program. In addition to the Courier-Journal, Luster’s pictures have appeared in National Geographic Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, TIME, LIFE, Sports Illustrated, Fortune and Newsweek. This is Luster’s fourth Missouri Photo Workshop.
